Sarath was extremely polite and helpful. He drove very well to get us to destinations safely and on time.
Overall Sarath was an outstanding guide and our trip would not have been the same without him.

Overall Holiday Experience ?
We were thrilled with every day of our tour in Sri Lanka. In a short time we saw so much of your wonderful country, and Adventure Lanka Tours gave us the chance to see Wildlife, Heritage Sites. Religious Places and other things many tourists would not get to see.
The chauffeur guide always seemed to know how to get the best experience for us and he worked very hard to make our tour a complete success.
Travelling with Adventure Lanka Tours has made us very keen to come back to Sri Lanka and when we do we will certainly travel with you.
Comments on the chauffeur/guide overall performance?
Bastian was a very polite, friendly and knowledgeable chauffeur. His driving is excellent – extremely safe and as smooth as possible on these roads! He drove very slowly at first but when we asked him to speed up he did so.
At first Bastian seemed reluctant when we wanted to make changes to the itinerary (which were all to give our children more leisure time and less time stuck in the car !) but he did accede to our wishes after a little persuasion. He organized great guides at Horton Plains and Sigiriya and got us to every place on time, safely and without any losses.
Were you displeased with any part of the tour or itinerary?
The only day we did not enjoy was the one spent travelling from Nuwara Eliya to Dambulla. This took 8 ½ hours ! The tea factory was not in operation and it felt as though we spent a gruelling day in the car to little benefit. We just would have liked to get from A to B more quickly. One other hiccup was arriving at the Galle Face Hotel who had no recollection of our booking - it took over 1 hour to sort out rooms after another long travelling day. But overall we were very pleased.
Do you consider us to be responsible tour operators ?
Very much so. You always checked things were going well, came back promptly whenever we contacted you and provided useful and informative details about Sri Lanka and the practicalities of travelling the country on your website – the best we found anywhere.
Any suggestions for improvement
Our only note is that travel being so slow entails a lot of time in the car which can be hard for young children. An in-car DVD player would be good and maybe more leisure time built into itineraries (but we know we asked to do a LOT in 8 days !!). Whole days based in a van were a little long. We would have happily dropped some of the expensive spice garden/factory tours for more time exploring the local markets on our own.

Our three young children had a wonderful time and were well looked after, every step of the way.

As is the case always in Sri Lanka travel times can sometimes be a bit much and we try to minimize this wherever possible. But when the number of days are limited and if certain places have to be visited then there can be some long drives involved.

I wanted to write this letter on behalf of Paul, myself and my family. A Sri Lankan-Canadian I have made several trips to Sri Lanka over the years and have been around the country. It only seemed natural to get married in the country i love so much. As my husband is Canadian, he and his family have never been to Sri Lanka. It was extremely important to me and my family that everyone had a fantastic time and got to see the history and countryside of Sri Lanka.
Arranging the plans of 11 different people from Canada wasn't always easy. So your organzation and immediate response to all my questions and enquiries was much appreciated.
